Questions, answered plainly.

How do I cancel?

In the app: Settings → Manage subscription. Apple's own subscription sheet opens and cancelling is two taps. Or without the app: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Sleep Mode.

Cancelling keeps everything working until the end of the current trial or billing period, and you are not charged after that. Cancel during the seven free days and you pay nothing at all.

I subscribed already — new phone, reinstall, or "subscribe" is showing again. Now what?

Tap Restore purchases — it's on the subscription screen and in Settings. It re-checks your subscription with Apple. It works when you're signed in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with; the subscription belongs to that account, not to the phone.

There are no Sleep Mode accounts, so there is no password to remember and nothing to reset.

Does the sound keep playing with the screen locked?

Yes. Lock the phone, switch apps, put it face down on the nightstand — playback continues all night. Play and pause also work from the Lock Screen. That part is the product.

Where is the phone alarm option?

The Phone alarm row in Gentle wake uses Apple's AlarmKit, which ships with iOS 26. On earlier iOS versions the row doesn't appear — an alarm we can't guarantee is not an alarm, so we don't offer it there.

The sound-based wake styles work on every supported iOS version, while playback is running.

Gentle wake didn't wake me. Why?

The sound-based wakes (a sound slowly, the mix louder) work by changing what's already playing — so they run only while playback runs. If the app was force-quit or the timer ended playback before your wake time, there was nothing to brighten. The app says this on the wake screen, and it's true.

If waking up is non-negotiable, use the Phone alarm option (iOS 26 and later). It's a real system alarm and rings even if playback stopped.

Do the sounds need an internet connection?

No. All 100 sounds ship inside the app — nothing streams, nothing downloads later. Airplane mode, no wifi, no signal: everything plays. The only network call the app ever makes is Apple's, for the subscription.
